- To drive the implementation of the Gypsy and Traveller Action Group Plan.
- To advise the Equality and Standards Board on Gypsy and Traveller issues.
- To provide support in the recruitment of new personnel and progression of existing personnel.
- To assist the force in making sure its policies and procedures take into account the needs of Gypsy and Traveller groups.
- To raise awareness of Gypsy and Traveller issues throughout the force.
- To liaise with external and partner organisations to make sure appropriate advice and information is provided.
