The Cross Channel Intelligence Community (CCIC) is a regional alliance between police forces and law enforement agencies that deal with cross-border crime between the UK and immediate mainland Europe.
The CCIC is made up of a number or law enforcement and government agencies;
The CCIC works with Europol, which deals with wider security issues throughout Europe.
For the past 40 years, the CCIC has helped forces and agencies share intelligence on issues such as counter-terrorism and illegal immigration. It tackles criminals who exploit the borderless EU region and the proceeds these criminals conceal.

- Listen as CCIC Chair, Frank Goegebuer talks about the role of the Belgians in the CCIC and tackling crime with his British colleagues.
- Superintendent Martin Very from Kent Police explains how the Olympic Games will impact on the work fo the CCIC.
Frank Goegebuer of the Belgian Federal Police is currently chair of the group. Eight senior police officers from the four member countries meet quarterly and there are six working groups that regularly report to the board on their areas of work.
