If you have made that decision to make a difference to your community and would like apply to become a Special Constable then below explains the recruitment process.

Step 1

Complete the self selection questionnaire  128kb to see if you are eligible to apply.

Step 2

Download, complete and return the application form.

Step 3

Return your application form for security checks and assessment.

Step 4

If you're successful at step three, you will be invited to part one of the assessment centre where you will be asked to write an essay and complete a verbal logical and numerical reasoning test  90kb.

Step 5

You will then be invited to part two of the assessment centre for an auto biographical presentation and interview.

Step 6

You must then visit Occupational Health for a medical and fitness test.

Step 7

If successful, you will then start training as a Special Constable.
