A new neighbourhood officer has joined the Coastal neighbourhood policing team in Whitstable to help deal with local issues in the Seasalter area.

PC Justin Walton recently joined the neighbourhood team having previously worked for Kent Police in the Thanet area. He is looking forward to getting to know Seasalter with the help of the local police community support officer (PCSO), Aaron Newell. Aaron had been working in the area with PC Dan Ashton from neighbouring Gorrell ward.

Justin, who is married with three children, said: 'I know the area, having worked for police in east Kent, but I am keen to meet the local community and find out more about what people want from the neighbourhood team and other local authorities.'
