CCTV released in Sturry assault appeal

Police investigating an assault outside the Co-op store in the High Street, Sturry, have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

The assault took place shortly after 3.30pm on Thursday 27 August. The victim, a man in his 70s, got out of his car to speak to a man about his driving. The man argued with the victim and then kicked him in the head and stomach. The victim sustained minor injuries but was badly shaken by the incident.

Description

The offender is described as a white man, aged between 20 and 22 years old, about 5ft 9in tall, and of medium build. He had short fair hair, was clean shaven and described as smartly dressed, wearing a white long-sleeved shirt, blue tie, dark trousers and white trainers. He was also wearing a gold stud earring in his left ear.

He drove away in dark blue Ford Fiesta, which had a coloured cushion on the back seat and a material back shelf. The car also had a sticker on it saying 'Me and my automobile'.
