Swanscombe and Greenhithe has a new neighbourhood police officer.

PC James Hensman, 27, has worked in Dartford as a section patrol officer since joining Kent Police three and a half years ago.

He forms part of the neighbourhood team out on the beat on the streets of Swanscombe and Greenhithe, which includes three police community support officers.

PC Hensman is already enjoying the challenge of his new role. He said: 'My priority will be to carry on the good work of the previous beat officers, concentrating on nuisance youths, criminal damage and off-road bikes.'
