Appeal after Dover alleyway attack

Officers in Dover are renewing their appeal for information following an assault, which happened at the junction of Green Lane and Vancouver Road at around 4.50pm on Monday 28 December 2009.

A 38-year-old local woman was walking along the unlit alleyway between Vancouver Road and Green Lane when a man walking towards her asked if he could use her cigarette lighter. As the woman reached into her pocket the man hit her with an unknown implement. The woman pushed the man away and ran off.

Description

The man is described as white, aged 18-22, 5ft 10in tall, of medium build, with southern accent. He had a pockmarked face. He was wearing an Eskimo-type hat, dark coloured hoodie and dark coloured tracksuit bottoms.
