Witness appeal following collision on A299

A moped and a Volvo S80 collided near Dargate

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 16-year-old boy was seriously injured in a collision on the A299, Thanet Way, last night (Tuesday 26 July 2010).

Police were called at 9.45pm after the moped and a Volvo S80 car collided near Dargate. Both were travelling in the London direction. The car driver was not injured.

The boy, who was riding a Yamaha moped and is from the Faversham area, was taken to the QEQM Hospital at Margate but was transferred to Kings Hospital in London last night and is in a serious condition.
