Tell us your priorities

Email your neighbourhood team, using the details above, with your top three priorities for where you live (one being the most important).

For example:

  1. Speeding along the highstreet
  2. Graffiti around the local supermarket
  3. Littering in the park

Local officers will then review all responses, together with issues raised at Partners and Community Together (PACT) meetings, to decide on the next local priorities for your area.

Priorities for your neighbourhood

The following priorities have been identified by your community.

Action will be taken by the agency responsible for dealing with the problem.

Priority: Parking - Larkfield Close and Larkfield Road
Taking action on dangerous and illegal parking, particularly by customers of the three banks on London Road. Also to deal with concerns about abandoned vehicles in the area.

Action (updated 4 November 2009):
A meeting has been held involving PCSOs, Neighbourhood Watch, the parish council, Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council, local residents and representitives from the shops and banks. The introduction of new time-restricted parking bays was discussed and the council is now ensuring that their parking enforcement officers are spending more time in the area to identify and deal with offenders. PCSOs will patrol the area at the busiest times and speak to drivers who park inconsiderately.

Priority: Speeding - New Hythe Lane, Kingfisher Road and Lunsford Lane
Speeding vehicles and anti-social driving, including wheel spins and revving of engines, particularly in New Hythe Lane.

Action (updated 27 October 2009):
While patrolling the area, neighbourhood PCSOs have got contact details for volunteers who are willing to help with the Speed Watch scheme, although more volunteers are still needed. Local officers will continue to patrol the area to issue warnings to drivers who cause a nuisance with their vehicles. These warnings mean, if the driver is caught causing problems again, they may have their vehicle seized.

Priority: Anti-social behaviour - Martin Square
Taking action on anti-social behaviour in Martin Square, particularly incidents where young people have been causing a nuisance by playing football against shop windows and riding mopeds. Issues have arisen mainly after school and on Saturdays.

Action (updated 27 October 2009):
Neighbourhood officers have been conducting high visibility patrols around Martin Square after school, in the evenings and at weekends. They have also been working to get the details of young people who cause a nuisance and to issue anti-social behaviour warning letters to persistent offenders.
