Age Action Group

Terms of reference

The Age Action Group meets bi-monthly to:

  • develop age equalities priorities for service delivery and employment
  • drive the implementation of the Age Action Group Action Plan
  • Advise the Equality and Standards Board on issues of age relating to the working environment, employment and potential employment and service delivery
  • Ensure the service adopts and delivers on changes to age legislation
  • Raise awareness of age issues throughout the force both internally and in the community.

Membership

Membership of the group will include:

Internal

  • senior manager/officer  
  • representative from the Police Federation
  • representative from Unison
  • representative from Personnel
  • representative from the Diversity Team

Community

  • Age Concern representative
  • council member

We will consult with crime reduction co-ordinators and Neighbourhood Watch liaison officers to suggest appropriate representatives.
