Gary Beautridge's biography
Assistant Chief Constable, Area Operations
Gary joined Kent Police in 1979. Most of his operational experience has been as a detective working in the Medway towns and Maidstone. He also spent four years as part of the National Crime Squad and was involved in numerous international investigations.
He has been a senior investigating officer on a number of high profile investigations including murder cases and the Kent Air Ambulance disaster.
Between 2002 and 2004, Gary was the area commander at Canterbury and between 2006 and 2008 at North Kent.
He was appointed Temporary Assistant Chief Constable (Area Operations) in June 2008 and become Assistant Chief Constable in April 2009.
