Not only does sponsorship allow Kent Police to finance projects that could otherwise not be carried out, it also proivides an opportunity for the force to work in partnership with the people of Kent towards a common goal.
However, Kent Police will not allow operational and statutory functions to become dependent on sponsorship, nor is the acceptance of sponsorship ever allowed to compromise the Kent Police Authority (KPA) or the Chief Constable's authority to deploy resources in accordance with the objectives and priorities of the force.
When seeking sponsorship, the suitability of the initiative will be judged aganst Kent Police’s objectives. This is a crucial element of the decision making process when accepting or declining sponsorship. The force will not support the pursuit of funding for the sake of it.
KPA and Kent Police do not give or imply any endorsement to the products and services of a sponsor, we merely recognise that sponsorship is a combined attempt to assist in the common goal of making Kent safer for all who live and work here.
All sponsorship arrangements are registered and published annually, in the knowledge that Kent Police and Kent Police Authority have a duty of accounting diligence and transparency in all financial affairs.
The Kent Police sponsorship register contains details of all sponsorship arrangements currently in place.
