As part of the marine community, you play a vital part in keeping the coastline free from nuisance, vandalism and theft. You can also help with national security issues like drug importation, immigration and terrorism.

If you see anything suspicious at Kent ports, along the River Thames or coast, please contact us.

To report non-urgent crime and for general enquiries, please call 101.

If a crime is taking place or life is at risk, call 999.

You can also call the counter-terrorism hotline on 0800 789321.

 

Did you know...

Kent Police and Essex Police have joined forces to police the River Thames and share information to catch criminals using the waterways.

The Kent and Essex Joint Marine Unit works closely with other agencies, including UK Border Agency and Maritime and Coastguard Agency. The marine unit also shares information with lifeboat crews, fisherman, shipping agents and neighbouring policing teams.

Officers are responsible for more than 200 separate sites, including small marinas, docks and ports.
