Explosives applications

How to apply

The Control of Explosives Regulations 1991 (COER) require anyone who acquires or keeps explosives to hold an explosives certificate.

There are two types of explosives licences:

Acquire only

This allows an individual or company to acquire named explosives which will be used straight away and not kept overnight. The licence is valid for one year.

Acquire and keep

This allows an individual or company to acquire named explosives and keep them in an approved way. The licence is valid for three years.
