Getting or renewing a licence

A shot gun is a smooth-bore gun (not an air gun), which:

• has a barrel not less than 24 inches in length and a bore not exceeding two inches in diameter,
• either has no magazine, or has a non-detachable magazine incapable of holding more than two cartridges
• is not a revolver gun.

Download, print and fill in the application form (form number 103). Please return it to the firearms licensing department at:

Fees

• Grant: £50
• Renewal: £40
• Joint renewal (if you are renewing your shot gun licence and firearms licence at the same time): £50

Cheques should be made payable to Kent Police.
