Reporting a crime

Advice for young people

Fingerprint

If you've been a victim of crime, make sure you tell someone.

If you have been assaulted, tell someone you trust so that you can get help.

You might find it hard to say out loud so you could write it down and give it to a friend or family member.

Hate crime

You can be a victim of hate crime because of your race, religion, disability, sexuality or gender. It's a crime - report it.

Reporting a crime

You can report a crime at your local police station or call 101.

You might also want to speak to your local neighbourhood officer, details of which you can find by entering your postcode into the Your neighbourhood search
