Safer Schools Partnership Co-ordinators provide advice to students on school and youth related issues to help reduce crime and anti-social behaviour.
Co-ordinators also work with young people at risk of becoming involved (or further involved) in offending, particularly those known to truant from school or who are excluded.
Co-ordinators work with school-based PCSOs and neighbourhood teams to improve young people’s understanding of policing issues including the consequences of crime and anti-social behaviour, misuse of alcohol/drugs and how to stay safe. They also work with the schools to support the citizenship programme.
