Halloween
Advice for parents and young people
- Adults should accompany young children who go trick or treating
- Take care when out on dark nights – stick to well lit areas and stay visible by wearing bright or reflective clothing
- Only call at the homes of people you know and are expecting you
- Please respect the wishes of others – if there’s a notice asking you not to call at someone’s home, please don’t.
Advice for residents
- You can display our poster at your front door or window to let people know if you'd like to receive trick or treaters, or not.
- Either way, you do not have to open your door to anyone. If people call and their behaviour worries you, let a neighbour or your Neighbourhood Watch contact know.

Eggs and flour
Throwing eggs and flour isn't funny, can ruin someone else's property and could land you in trouble. Don't do it.
