Assistant Chief Constable Andy Adams said: 'Our aim is for everyone to enjoy the 2012 summer of celebration and we are committed to ensuring the safety of everyone living, visiting or travelling in the county during the Games period.
'We are highly experienced in managing major operations whilst maintaining our normal policing service.
'We are making a substantial contribution to the security planning and public safety elements of the London Olympic and Paralympic Games, so that when the Games open on 27 July 2012, the right people with the right skills are in the right place.
'Our planning has been thorough and we are in a good position to deliver, with our partners, a safe and secure Games, whilst maintaining a business as usual policing service in Kent.'
