When a crime has been committed, you want to know what has happened to the person responsible. This section aims to let you know how some offences have been dealt with by the courts.

We often use our virtual court technology to help bring offenders to justice quickly. The system can mean drink driving offenders, for example, appear at court from custody via a live video link and have their licenses taken away the same day. Take a look.
Have you heard about our Restorative Justice too? Where possible we bring offenders face-to-face with their victims to help them understand the impact of their crimes and reduce re-offending. You can find out more about this work here - restorative justice.
Find an explanation of some of the sentences on the Criminal Justice System website.
In an emergency or if life is in danger, call 999. To report non urgent crimes, call 101.
To report community issues, please speak to your neighbourhood officer. You can find out who's your local officer by entering your postcode into the Your Neighbourhood search.
