Second casualty dies following collision on A28 near Ashford

Kent Police is re-appealing for witnesses to a fatal road collision after the driver of one of the vehicles involved has died.

The collision between a yellow Renault recovery lorry, a white Ford Transit van and a silver Suzuki Wagon occurred on the A28 at Godmersham near Ashford at 3.35pm on Saturday 22 September 2012.

A woman aged in her 80s who had been in the passenger seat, died at the William Harvey Hospital later that evening (22 September).

The woman’s husband who had been driving the Suzuki, also aged in his 80s, died in hospital on Sunday 4 November.

Kent Police would like to hear from anyone who saw the collision or who remembers seeing any of the three vehicles involved in the minutes before it happened.
