Default News 1

Kent Police is investigating after two men carried out a robbery at a travel agents in High Street, Hythe this morning (Friday, December 14).

The men, described by witnesses as being black, are reported to have gone into the business at about 11.40am and demanded money, threatening the members of staff with a gun.

They then left the shop with a considerable amount of money, travelling along Theatre Street towards Prospect Road and were last seen in the area of the supermarket.

The men are believed to have been in the area for some time before the attack.

Kent Police would ask anyone not to approach the men but anyone with any information to contact them on 101 quoting ref 14-557.

Officers are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who was waiting for a taxi outside a supermarket between 11.00am and 12.00pm or anyone who visited the travel agents in the morning around the time of the attack.

Officers are not ruling out the possibility it may be linked to a robbery that happened earlier this week but they are keeping an open mind.
