Appeal for witnesses after reported robbery in Gravesend

Kent Police is appealing for witnesses following reports of a robbery in Gravesend.

Officers were called after 5am on Friday 14 December to Clarence Row after it was reported a woman allegedly had her handbag stolen.

The victim was walking along the alleyway by the Gravesend cemetery towards Old Road West when it was reported her bag was stolen by a man that has been described as about 5ft 8ins tall, stocky build and his face was covered with a dark item of clothing.

He was also wearing a dark three-quarter length coat, dark trousers and thick gloves. It is believed he made off with the bag, described as blue with a navy strap and a red bow with white dots, in the direction of Bedford Road.
