A 29 year old man has been arrested in connection with an attempted robbery at a shop in Dartford.
Kent Police was called at 7pm on Monday 14 January to reports of an attempted robbery at the Co-op store on Temple Square.
It was reported that a man entered the store, demanding cash from the till and threatened staff members with what is believed to have been a meat cleaver. He left the shop empty-handed.
A 29 year old man from Farningham has been arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery and is currently in custody pending further enquiries.
