Ready to make a difference? Join Kent Police as a special constable. Support your community, gain new skills and be part of a team that’s there for you every step of the way.
Special constables are trained volunteer police officers who work alongside regular officers to help keep Kent safe, they wear the same uniform, carry the same equipment and have the same policing powers when on duty.
You will receive full training and ongoing support, with volunteering designed to fit around work, study and family life. You do not need any previous policing experience to apply.
People join for different reasons. Some want to give back to their local community. Others want to gain new skills, build confidence, or explore whether becoming a regular police officer could be right for them.
