Mr. Castle requested chief officer approval for the timetable for 2023/2024 accounts.

Chief officers noted and approved the timetable as set out in the briefing report.

T/ACC Brookes to consider further the inclusion of firearms licensing in the internal audit plan for 2024/25, including scope of review and timescales, for discussion with the DCC.

Chief officers approved the remainder of the Internal Audit Plan to meet the statutory requirement.
C/Supt. Quiller presented the proposed changes to the current fitness test outlined in the circulated briefing paper. Chief officers were asked for approval to adopt the recommended fitness test as set out in the supporting briefing document, from 1 April 2024 for the new PPST curriculum.
Decisions:
Chief officers approved recommendations 6.1, 6.2, 6.3, 6.4, and 6.5.
Recommendation 6.6 (Level 5.4 for Taser Officers) requires further review.
The Chair agreed to speak to DCC Prophet, Essex, to obtain a consensus on a decision on the appropriate fitness level for officers working in the collaborative directorates.
