Apologies
The record of the previous meeting was approved.
There were no new actions.
PSE Castle presented the paper as previously shared and highlighted key points in the P5 finance report. There has been little material change since P4 and the Q2 forecast update is due in next month's P6 report. The forecast revenue range remains unchanged at an underspend between £1.8m and £4.8m. August and September saw higher than forecast police attrition figures and the team is monitoring for any longer-term profile change. The chief constable queried adding in a budget line to the forecast table for comparison.
The management action updates were noted, and additional verbal updates were provided for the following:
New action 15/25:
T/ACC Quiller to brief CC Smith on local government funding for camera safety, NDORS and Ch/Insp Woodward’s work.
Chief Officers provided verbal updates on their observations during visits to RDAIT and MOSOVO teams across the county on 2 September. Feedback forms have been submitted to the DCC’s office for review of recurring themes and the extraction of any actions.
T/ACC Thompson: Canterbury
ACO Medhurst: Sittingbourne
ACC Brookes: Folkestone
ACC Wilson: North Kent
T/ACC Quiller: Medway
CC Smith: Margate
The chief constable thanked Chief Officers for their valuable feedback and confirmed he will discuss any resulting actions with DCC Ayling.
New action 16/25:
PSE Castle to liaise with Chief Officers and seek any views on focus areas for the JAC in 2026.
Chiefs' Council feedback
Smith advised a summary briefing note will be circulated to Chief Officers. Any action updates will be reported back into him via PSE Gransden in around 8 weeks’ time.
