PSE Amanda Humphrey presented the attendance management paper as previously shared with the meeting and highlighted key points and trends for Chief Officer discussion.

ACO Richard Leicester to coordinate a briefing from each of the senior leads responsible for the police staff areas of priority as listed below explaining what the absence issues are and the plan to address them:

ACO Richard Leicester to provide detailed analysis of the reasons for the increase in police staff absence in a more analytical form. Update to this meeting in February 2025.
PSE Gary Beautridge and DCI Neil Watford presented the RPA options paper as previously shared with the meeting. The paper was submitted to Chief Officers for discussion ahead of a joint discussion at JCOG later this week. Views were sought on the preferred model, ambition, and scope of the RPA project to inform a full business case by the end of 2024. The three options were outlined with option B2 being the recommended choice. Chief Officers discussed the paper and the wider automation landscape.

All Chief Officers to consider where in their directorate they believe they can achieve the most benefits from RPA. This is to be fed back to the DCC and DCO for collation and consideration.

ACO Claire Medhurst advised the FHQ canteen will be closed between 14 November to 5 December for refurbishment.
