2a. Action 54/23 - Digital Asset Management system month update
PSE Winter provided a six-month overview of progress for Chief Officers information.
Chief Officers asked for the following areas to be reviewed:
The Chair acknowledged the significant innovative progress made to date, and thanked PSE Winter for her update.
Decisions:
It was agreed that a further DAMS update will be presented to Chief Officers in six months by Kirsty Winter.
The Chair requested that the Public Dashcam Portal proposal is paused, due to the disbenefits of supporting the additional generated demand.
It was agreed that PSE Winter would liaise with C/Supt. White, in his Strategic Partnerships role, with regards to the use of DAMS connectivity for council CCTV systems.
2b. Action 8/24 - Force system use review (DFU) findings
PSE Brown provided an update on the initial findings of the audit of force systems to identify those currently unsupported by ISD, identifying a total 39 systems.
Decisions::
Chief Officers noted the findings of the audit and await conclusion of the work.
It was agreed that a further update will be presented to Chief Officers in October 2024 following conclusion of the review.
A/ACO Humphreys provided an overview of the paper circulated to Chief Officers to note. The Chair thanked A/ACO Humphreys for her briefing.
Decision
The Chair requested the next report includes comparison data with other forces.
New action 20/24
DCO Drysdale to review Attendance Management Oversight Board governance and whether the force needs an Absence Monitoring Group to manage long term absence cases for decision making.
PSE Gill requested Chief Officer approval to proceed with the purchase of replacement Airwave Handheld and Vehicle radios in Kent at a cost of £2,588,300.
Decision:
Chief Officers gave approval to proceed with the purchase of replacement Airwave Handheld and Vehicle radios as outlined in the supporting paper.
A/ACC Alland provided a briefing report circulated for Chief Officers to note. The Chair thanked A/ACC Alland for the update and requested that Chief Officers liaise with A/ACC Alland if they have any concerns or identify any missed opportunities.
Decisions
The Chair agreed to consider a Spotlight communication to staff, with inclusion of how the Open Days weekend is funded (i.e. Property Fund support).
6a. Kent Property Fund
DCO Drysdale advised that the Property Fund balance is over £300,000. Force-wide communications will be circulated to encourage officers and staff to consider any organisations or charities that may benefit from a funding bid.
