Misconduct hearing for PC 30847 White

1. Name of officer: PC 30847 White.

2. Date, time and venue of the hearing: Monday 5 October 2026 to Thursday 8 October 2026 in the County Room, Kent Police Force Headquarters, Sutton Road, Maidstone, Kent, ME15 9BZ starting at 10am.

3. The conduct and how that conduct is alleged to amount to gross misconduct: It is alleged the officer has:-

• made inappropriate and/or sexually motivated repeated physical contact with a number of fellow officers which left them uncomfortable and that they did not consent to.
• made numerous inappropriate, sexist, racist and misogynistic remarks to colleagues.
• recounted a story to colleagues in which he made transphobic comments.

PC White is alleged to have breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour relating to:

Authority, respect and courtesy
Police officers act with self-control and tolerance, treating members of the public and colleagues with respect and courtesy. Police officers do not abuse their powers or authority and respect the rights of all individuals.

Equality and diversity
Police officers act with fairness and impartiality. They do not discriminate unlawfully or unfairly.

Discreditable conduct
Police officers behave in a manner which does not discredit the police service or undermine public confidence in it, whether on or off duty. Police officers report any action taken against them for a criminal offence, any conditions imposed on them by a court or the receipt of any penalty notice.

It is alleged that these matters individually and/or collectively amount to gross misconduct, namely a breach of the Standards of Professional Behaviour that, if proved, is so serious PC White’s dismissal would be justified.

The Chair of the hearing has imposed the following conditions:-

1. The taking of photographs and the use of visual or sound recording equipment during the hearing or by attendees whilst on police premises is prohibited, except for official purposes by the Professional Standards Department.
2. Any form of live streaming or live use of social media within the hearing is prohibited.
