Misconduct hearing for PC13287 Andrew Simpson
1. Name of officer: PC 13287 Andrew Simpson.
2. The date, time and venue of the hearing: Monday 2 November to Tuesday 3 November 2026 in the County Room, Kent Police Force Headquarters, Sutton Road, Maidstone, Kent, ME15 9BZ starting at 10am.
3. The conduct and how that conduct is alleged to amount to gross misconduct: The case relates to the officer having allegedly becoming argumentative and confrontational towards colleagues, including shouting and swearing. It is further alleged the officer begun shouting at his partner creating a further disturbance.
The officer continued with his abusive behaviour, repeatedly swearing and making threats towards a colleague. The behaviour has been judged so extreme officers took the decision to utilise (UDD) urgent duty driving to minimise the risk posed whilst being transported.
These are breaches of the Standards of the Professional behaviour, specifically authority, respect and courtesy and discreditable conduct.
Please note that the Chair of the hearing has imposed the following conditions: -
- The taking of photographs and the use of visual or sound recording equipment during the hearing or by attendees whilst on police premises is prohibited, except for official purposes by the Professional Standards Department.
- Any form of live streaming or live use of social media within the hearing is prohibited.
