On 15 to 19 June 2026 PC 30111 Edwards appeared before a misconduct tribunal relating to failure to meet standards under the Police (Conduct) Regulations 2020. The case arose from allegations that the officer had acted in an overtly sexualised manner towards his police colleagues. The hearing was held in public.
The officer did not accept that the conduct alleged amounted to gross misconduct.
Having considered the cases put forward by the presenting and defending counsels, the panel found the case proven to be one of misconduct.
They considered that the officer’s conduct had breached the standards of professional behaviour relating to authority, respect and courtesy and discreditable conduct.
In considering the disciplinary outcome, the panel took into account the officer’s personal record, a number of character references, and representations regarding outcome presented by the officer’s legal representative.
The officer received a final written warning which will remain live for 2 years from the date the warning was given.
