Misconduct outcome Police Constable 30128 Renton

On 2 to 5 September 2024 Police Constable 30128 Renton appeared before a misconduct tribunal relating to failure to meet standards under the Police (Conduct) Regulations 2020. The case arose from allegations that the officer had inappropriately touched a female colleague. The hearing was held in public.

The officer did not accept that the conduct alleged amounted to gross misconduct.

Having considered the cases put forward by the Presenting and Defending Counsels, the tribunal found the case proven to be one of gross misconduct.

They considered that the officer’s conduct had breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour relating to Authority, Respect & Courtesy, Equality & Diversity and Conduct.

The officer was dismissed without notice.
