The Learning and Development department based predominantly at Kent Police College in Maidstone provide initial and refresher training to our staff.
We are committed to engaging, supporting and developing officers, staff and volunteers through a wide offering of learning opportunities from foundation level through to specialist skills. Our provision includes a comprehensive continuous professional development programme. We provide operationally credible and professional training to the highest possible standards which is modern and innovative, maximising technology and demonstrating efficient and effective blended learning opportunities. We aim to provide training to all staff which supports each individual to maximise their potential, enhancing our frontline capability to provide the very best possible service delivery to victims, witnesses and the local communities.
Some courses such as driver training, crime scene investigation and specialist crime training are also available to other forces and government agencies.
