Kent Police benefits from the support of dedicated volunteers who play an important role in helping us serve the community. This includes both special constables and civilian volunteers.
Special constables are volunteer police officers who receive full training and have the same powers as regular officers. They work alongside our teams to support front-line policing, respond to incidents, and engage with the public.
Civilian volunteers help in a variety of roles across the force, from community outreach to administrative support. Their contribution helps us improve services and strengthen our connection with local communities.
We regularly update our list of available volunteer roles, including opportunities to become a special constable.
