who are we

Casual/temporary roles is a strand of our recruitment that is dedicated to sourcing candidates to provide additional resources to the force when demand is high. 

We’re looking for people who are interested in registering with us for temporary or short-term placements. If you have either worked in policing or related sectors before, are interested in temporary working or have skills you feel could benefit the force, then register your CV with us.

We’re looking for people from a wide range of backgrounds; IT to investigation, admin to analysts… and many more specialisms. If you have previous experience in policing or related experience in the following areas, we would like to hear from you too:
  • Force Control Room – Call Handlers, Dispatchers, Investigation Management Unit Investigators, Police National Computer Bureau (PNCB) operators.
  • Scene Preservation roles
  • Designated Detention Officers

There are many. Working for casual/temporary roles can provide a positive reference for your CV and career history. You’ll be working alongside experienced policing professionals in a range of new and interesting positions in a vital area of public service. Depending on force needs, some assignments could lead to future career opportunities with Kent Police.
