Kent Police – Secondment Opportunity for a Detective Superintendent (up to 3 years)
Temporary Promotion or Substantive Opportunity
Starting Salary: National Superintendent Payscale plus £2000 South East allowance (or other housing rent allowance).

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to undertake a secondment for up to three years with Kent Police in a Detective Superintendent Role to lead a large scale Regional investigation.
This opportunity is open to substantive or temporary Detective Superintendents as well as appropriately qualified Detective Chief Inspectors (with Home Force Chief Officer support), as a temporary promotion opportunity.
The successful candidate will be the SIO lead for a Major Crime Homicide and Coronial investigation. 
Do you have:-
  • The ability to demonstrate extensive experience of large scale and complex Holmes based Major Crime investigations.
  • Qualified to at least PIP 3
  • The ability to demonstrate SIO experience of investigations within the Health Care Settings.
  • Strategic stakeholder engagement experience.
  • Experience of managing Family Liaison deployments.
  • Demonstrate experience of agile working practices (desirable)

This challenging role will require you to work closely with key strategic stakeholders across a number of Governmental and Health disciplines.  You will also be exposed to a high degree of public scrutiny as well as internal and potentially external reviews.
If you are a highly-motivated and dynamic individual who can bring their wide Detective experience and strategic leadership to manage a joint Police/Civilian (Agency) enquiry team based and working across the South/South East of the Country, then this could be the opportunity for you.
Please note that you will need Chief Officer sign off/support to do the role and there is an expectation that the successful candidate will be released immediately from their Home Force.
