Our Kent and Essex IT Services department provides IT support and development functions to both Kent Police and Essex Police.

We serve a wide and varied customer base, including internal officers and staff, Kent Police and Essex Police and Crime Commissioners and external partners and organisations - not forgetting our ultimate customer, the general public.

EUC Support Engineer

Salary £24,897 - £29,508
Based at Kent Police HQ, Maidstone 

We’re looking for a keen enthusiastic individual to provide quality technical support and advice for all End User Computing devices for staff within Kent and Essex Police and other stakeholders.  
You’ll play an important role in helping to resolve incidents, including major or critical incidents, problems, requests, events and access requests. 

Applicants should evidence the following skills/experience in their application:
  • 3 to 4 years’ experience working within an IT operations environment
  • Ability to work within an ICT technical support role
  • Experience and knowledge of Microsoft products (Microsoft Office , Windows 7 /10) 
  • Working knowledge of Mobile Device Management (BES12) and the support of mobile devices such as Windows 10 laptops and tablets
  • Experience working within customer service environment

EUC Field Operations Engineer (multiple vacancies)

Salary £22,668- £26,565
Based at Kent Police HQ, Maidstone
We’re looking for keen and enthusiastic individuals to provide a high quality, second line technical support and advisory service of End User Computing devices for staff within Kent Police or Essex Police and other contracted organisations. This will include resolving and enabling the resolution of incidents, problems, requests and events. You’ll be supporting the development new solutions or enhancements configuration testing, implementing new hardware and associated software. You’ll also play a key role in the EUC device replacement and roll-out programmes, in order to achieve high standards of customer service and deliver optimum operational and business benefits.

Senior Network Engineer (multiple vacancies)

Salary: £31,353 - £35,820
Based at Kent Police HQ, Maidstone
We're looking for enthusiastic individuals to work in the Network Team to help develop and further exploit the force's Cisco, IP based network infrastructures. You'll be providing technical advice and analysis on both existing systems and systems under development, plus investigate, diagnose and resolve the full range of network problems.

You'll be integral to supporting and delivering improvements across the network - trouble shooting, configuring network devices and completing performance analysis across all network components. This is a great opportunity to work in a team responsible for a large scale modern network infrastructure, including IP based telephony, unified communications, firewalls and many elements of third party network provision. 

You must have a minimum of 5 years network and IT experience and gained appropriate Cisco focused training and qualifications.  Other IT qualifications are desirable. You must also have proven experience of working in a high pressured environment within a customer service environment.
