Work experience

Work experience
Our corporate work experience programme is delivered by our Training Team to students interested in the police.

The programme is usually scheduled for 1 week and runs for a set number of weeks during the school holidays.

The course takes place at the Kent Police College in Maidstone, so applicants need to make sure they can travel there throughout the week.

Students will gain insight into a variety of different departments throughout our force; they will also find out about the different roles on offer which may be of interest when your education ends.

The work experience is mainly classroom based, with some opportunities to carry out practical activities on site.

Who can apply?

Our programme is aimed at students aged 15 to 18 years old who are required to complete a work experience week as part of their studies.

Courses dates

We'll be running a limited work experience programme in 2017 and are pleased to confirm that our one-week programme will take place on 21-25 August 2017.

Please note: we're unable to accommodate any work experience requests outside of the course dates.

What other options are available to me?

Why not take a look at our Volunteer Police Cadet programme, available to 13 to 17 year olds.

How to apply

We'll publish information on how to apply on Monday 24 April 2017 when applications open.
