Dartford man sentenced for carrying a knife

David Mouwe was sentenced on 16 January 2018 at Medway Magistrates’ Court.
He pleaded guilty to causing criminal damage and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place, and was convicted of the offences by magistrates.
On 16 December 2017 the 18-year-old, of Bridges Drive, Dartford, caused £300 worth of damage to a van in Dartford.
On the same day, he possessed a large kitchen knife in Bridges Drive, Dartford.
Magistrates handed Mouwe a 120 day suspended sentence and ordered him to pay compensation of £300.
He was also ordered to pay £85 in costs and £115 to fund victim services.
