Longfield man convicted for drink driving
Alex Ripley was sentenced on 9 January 2018 at Medway Magistrates’ Court.
He pleaded guilty to drink driving, and was convicted of the offence by magistrates.
On 7 December 2017 the 28-year-old, of Capelands, Longfield, drove on Clover Street, Chatham with 103 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
For breath tests the legal limit is 35 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
Magistrates disqualified Ripley from driving for 24 months and ordered him to undertake 80 hours of unpaid work.
The ban will be reduced if he satisfactorily completes a driving course approved by the Secretary of State.
The course will not exceed £250.
He was also ordered to pay £85 in costs and £85 to fund victim services.
