Maidstone man sentenced for drink driving
Pedro Antonio Correia was sentenced on 2 January 2018 at West Kent Magistrates’ Court.
He pleaded guilty to drink driving, and was convicted of the offence by magistrates.
On 8 December 2017 the 33-year-old, of Durham Close, Maidstone, drove on the M20 with 72 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
For breath tests the legal limit is 35 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
Magistrates disqualified Correia from driving for 18 months and fined him £200.
The ban will be reduced if he satisfactorily completes a driving course approved by the Secretary of State.
The course will not exceed £250.
He was also ordered to pay £85 in costs and £30 to fund victim services.
