Detectives investigating an aggravated burglary in Folkestone are appealing for witnesses.
The incident is reported to have occurred at a property in St Michael's Street, Folkestone at about 3.15am on Sunday 19 June 2022.
The victim reported they found an unknown man climbing through the rear window on the first floor. When he was confronted the victim was hit with a pole several times.
The suspect then left the property. No items were taken.
He is described as being a white man, aged in his 50s, 5ft 8inches tall, stocky build with short grey hair. He wore dark coloured trousers and a dark shirt.
