Investigators have released a CCTV image following an assault on a woman in Gillingham.
The incident happened at around 10.30pm on Tuesday 5 December 2023, as the victim was walking down Canterbury Street towards the High Street.
It is reported the woman was approached by a man from behind who then assaulted her and pulled her to the ground.
The victim managed to run from the scene having suffered injuries to her face and an arm.
Detective Inspector Nichole Carter, of the Medway Victim Based Crime Team, said: ‘Investigators have been completing enquiries into this incident including the review of CCTV footage in the area.
‘We are now able to release an image of a man who may be able to assist with our enquiries. While the image is blurred it is hoped somebody may recognise the person from their clothing. Officers are also asking drivers with dashcam and residents with private CCTV, that has not already been reviewed by the police, to check for relevant footage.'
