Kent Police is appealing for information following a report that three men were assaulted in Lydd.
The incident happened near Cannon Street and Coronation Square between 7pm and 7.30pm on Saturday 13 June 2026.
The victims, who are in their 30s, asked some local people for directions and were then allegedly attacked by a group of unknown men.
One of them suffered serious facial injuries and was taken to hospital by paramedics for medical attention.
Chief Inspector Anjali Howard said:
‘The three men who were targeted are briefly visiting the UK to take part in an international sports competition.
‘I am urging anyone who witnessed the incident or who knows the identities of those involved in the assault to contact our appeal line.’
