Police investigating a report that a suspected air rifle was fired in Margate are appealing for witnesses.
Shortly after 8.50am on Tuesday 21 May 2024, it was reported that a man had fired an air rifle, described as having a brown stock and black barrel, into the air in Appledore Close.
Officers attended and a 27-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident. No injuries were reported and the man was later released on police bail.
An investigation to establish the full circumstances is ongoing, including enquiries to locate the air rifle, and anyone with information is urged to call Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting reference 46/83160/24.
