Witnesses are sought by officers investigating an assault in Canterbury that left a victim with multiple injuries.
The incident took place in the city centre between 1.30am and 2.30am on Saturday 19 September 2026.
Two men had been socialising and were walking in St Margaret’s Street, near to the High Street junction, where they encountered a small group of people they did not know.
Shortly afterwards, an altercation broke out and it is reported that one of the men was assaulted.
The victim, who is in his 30s, was able to leave the scene with assistance from his friend.
He attended hospital the following day having sustained injuries to his face, chest and hand. The incident was later reported to police.
Initial enquiries were completed including reviewing CCTV and speaking with witnesses.
An investigation is ongoing and officers are urging anyone with relevant information, including CCTV and mobile phone footage, to come forward.
