Witnesses are sought following an attempted robbery in Chatham.
Kent Police was called to a bus stop on Lords Wood Lane near to Scotby Avenue, shortly after 10am on Wednesday 7 May 2025.
A man crossed the road in the direction of a woman at the bus stop. It is alleged that he attempted to take jewellery from the woman before she was able to leave the immediate area. There were no reported injuries.
Officers attended and enquiries were completed at the scene. The man is described as white and of average build with no facial hair, wearing blue jeans and a green hooded top with the hood pulled up.
An investigation is ongoing. Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has relevant information - including dashcam, CCTV or mobile phone footage – is urged to come forward.
Investigators are particularly keen to speak to the driver of a red car who is reported to have stopped and offered assistance to the victim.
