The first happened in Millstrood Road at around 2am on Monday 10 February 2025 and the second was in nearby Walmer Road at around 4am the following day.
On both occasions the offenders smashed glass at the rear of the properties to gain access whilst one man was armed with an axe.
Nobody was injured in either incident but a quantity of cash was stolen from the Walmer Road address.
On that occasion there were three offenders present, all of whom were described as slim, white and with local accents. One was around 5ft 7in and another was 5ft 1in and they were all wearing masks, black coats, grey bottoms and gloves.
There were two men present during the Millstrood Road burglary, one of whom had his hood up and was wearing a mask. They left the property empty-handed.
