Police are appealing for witnesses and warning residents to be vigilant following a distraction burglary near Canterbury.
On the morning of Thursday 1 June 2023, two men came to the home of a pensioner in Harbledown, claiming to be tradesmen and saying work was needed on her home and garden.
When the victim went upstairs, one of the men followed her and stole cash. Both men then left in a white van.
The incident was reported to Kent Police on Tuesday 6 June and an investigation is ongoing.
Anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area, or who has CCTV or doorbell footage which might assist, is urged to call Kent Police on 01843 222289, quoting reference 46/100279/23.
